What a way to start off the year! My booksta bestie read the arc on Net Galley and was immediately gushing about it and then I won an e-arc too! A YA full of whimsy, depth and finding yourself! Read my review here.
Talk about swoony! Lord Bryant is a rake, but not really. He just wants everyone to think he is. Enter a strong young woman that bargins with him into a fake courtship. I can’t get enough of this book! Here’s my review. It helps being friends with the author and getting a sneak peek 🙂
This was such a fun read that spans 10 years with two best friends. A friends to lovers, it switches from present day to a summer trip in the past. It was my first Emily Henry book but I can’t wait to read more of her books. Her characters were real and relatable. Here’s my review.
Bookstagram made me do it! Plus I love all the fun RomCom movies like 27 Dresses, The Wedding Planner and Bride Wars; a book about a professional bridesmaid with the family being “off limits” but forced proximity and secret identity. Sounds fun, right? Right!
I love that so many readers described this book as bonkers because it is! Victorian England but with pirates, magic and flying houses! Lady pirates fighting gentleman pirates, rogues and forced proximity.
This is a hefty book – for a historical regency romance its over 400 pages but I couldn’t put it down and read it in 2 days. There were laugh out loud moments and an arranged marriage/marriage of convenience with a strong willful young woman. Here’s my review. Plus it was pretty cool to see my name in the acknowledgements at the end 🙂
I love Rachel’s books, she has so much heart in her stories and this was fun with an added mystery element plus who knew dentists could be swoony super hero? Here’s my review.
Its not surprising to see this book make a lot of reader’s top book lists. This is a highly anticipated book! Combining two beloved series into one! Sarah M Eden truly loves these characters, you can feel it in her writing. I also loved painting peg dolls of these families and gifting it to her. See my review and peg dolls here. 🙂
I saw this going around the ‘gram and I was intrigued. I didn’t know it’d be so fun and that I couldn’t put it down! I read the first half in one day. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series! A fun YA book that reminded me of Clue and Knives Out 🙂
This was my last read of 2021 and it was a five star! Such a fun plot, even if not super original but I love RomCom movies and didn’t mind one minute! Quotes from some of my favorite romcom movies, fake dating plus guy next door. I can’t wait to read more from this author!
What books made your top reads of 2021? It was so hard to limit it to 10! But I love these stories enough to own it on my shelf and reread it a few times, buy multiple formats and can’t stop sharing with others and encouraging them to read it too!
